Joel 2:12-14 Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (RSVCE)

12 “Yet even now,” says the Lord,
“return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;
13     and rend your hearts and not your garments.”
Return to the Lord, your God,
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love,
    and repents of evil.
14 Who knows whether he will not turn and repent,
and leave a blessing behind him,
a cereal offering and a drink offering
    for the Lord, your God?

Amazing discussion, a short video about Alzheimer's. Alzheimer’s Is Not Normal Aging — And We Can Cure It | Samuel Cohen | TE...

I feel it is important to advocate for more research money. It sounds like there is hope for families and friends who live with the effects of Alzheimer's.
Many, many years ago I was a C.N.A in a geriatric facility and saw first hand the effects of Alzheimer's on patients and families, it left me scarred with sadness; I found this video to be very helpful and informative.....It is also very encouraging to me.

Blessings to you all.

An Update and~Twins get 'mystifying' DNA ancestry test results (Marketplace)

Our son Justin purchased one of these kits for me as a Christmas gift. I have followed the directions and sent it off in the mail and hope to hear from the ancestry company in 3 to 4 weeks. I am not expecting any surprises, I think my family maybe a bit dull but I will find out soon enough. I will let you know if anything interesting pops up.  Have you ever taken one of these ancestry test?
A little update below :)

Yesterday was our oldest son Jacobs birthday, (35) and our 4th grandchild Levi,  7th month old celebration.
I have a lot to thank God for!!!

I have just finished another round of antibiotics. The last 18 to 23 months I have had one diverticulitis attack after another. It looks like I may be having surgery....I will try to avoid it, but this chronic fatigue and pain is wearing me out.  I do "offer it up" for the conversion and healing of you and family members. Lately someone named Isabella has been on my heart and in my prayers?

Jennifer
Justin is doing really well and continues to heal. He still has to take heart medication, (the extremely strong chemo may have caused some of the heart issues). Jennifer our daughter is doing well and her 2 children Isla Rose and Finnian are thriving.

Blessings,

I have to share one true story....this was shared with me by a colleague, (it had happen to her).
One mom had slept in.... so her 1st grader decided to pack his own lunch. The mom was very proud of his efforts, but did not check his lunch box. Later that morning the mom got a call from the school, the child had packed one of his dads cans of beer for a drink at lunch time :)

Where Are You, Martin Luther King?

This coming Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day and a National holiday.
This video is an very interesting point of view.  I always understood M.L.K. JR. message to be: let us be "color blind", what is in the heart and character of a person is more important than the color of skin.... but over the years I thought I was mistaken because the message I remembered seemed to disappear.... I never heard it said again....until this video.
I think he would be sad at the ways the United States has changed, not pleased at all. He was a MAN of faith, family and life!

WOW, ANOTHER GREAT HOMILY BY FATHER MENEZES!

I WILL LISTEN TO THIS MORE THAN ONCE, (YESTERDAY'S HOMILY AS WELL)~Daily Catholic Mass - 2019-01-09 - Fr. Wade Menezes.  THE STAFF OF EWTN ARE ON RETREAT SO FATHER MENESES WILL BE SAYING MASS ALL WEEK, I HOPE :)

"BE NOT AFRAID" 365 TIMES (this or a version of this ) IS IN SCRIPTURE....ONE FOR EVERYDAY OF THE YEAR....Be not afraid, we have all the GRACE we need.
"BE NOT AFRAID", I need this reminder more than anyone, (I tend to be fearful); even after all the Blessings and the fact that God is with me always, I still get fearful:(

A "vintage train" ride. Enjoy the sounds of long ago, ( and yes, I did get soot on me). This is a coal powered steam train.
