I think going to Boston (and all the prayer) helped the emotions of us all. I think there is more hope and calmness...we are finally attacking this enemy, thank-you God!
Justin, Tim, and I will go again to Dana-Farber Tuesday Dec. 5th. All of the "mapping and blood panels" will be back.
At that time Justin will have a 2 hour procedure they are calling and "Infusion Therapy". I think it is a name for chemo that is given by I.V. I have a blanket and pillow in the car for him to sleep on the way home. It takes us about 3 hours one way, (6 hours in a car and 2 hours of "Infusion Therapy" does not sound fun, but it has to be done). I also plan on bringing or making snacks~ We will not want to eat out or stop. But he will need energy.
Dr. Johnson shared that the cancer is 2 to 10 years old!
Which means he could have had the cancer (starting to grow) at age 15 or the cancer could have started growing 2 years ago....or any time in between.
I wanted some kind of indication that Our Lady had heard my/our prayers.
When we arrived at Dr. Johnson's office, (and while he was reviewing Justin's images and scans) his nurse came in to ask us question. Her name is Bernadette, it is not a common name. I told I liked her name and a thought came to me, 'she has the same name as St. Bernadette, I wonder....'
As we were leaving she came to say good-bye and I asked her how she came by her name, "Lourdes, in France" her Mom, (or an older sibling) was watching the movie Song Of Bernadette while pregnant and thought 'if this is a girl I will name her Bernadette'.
Am I seeing something that is not there? Is this Our lady's way of saying "I present your request to my SON"?
