Chemo~ it was my day to be with Justin for his Chemo treatment.

We are now at home from his chemo treatment and he is sleeping. Tim will bring him to his home later on this evening. Justin slept 12 hours last night. I did not sleep 12 hours....

Update as promised:

The doctors have given him 2 heart medications to take. They are suppose to help with "heart beat regulation". The team of Cardiologist discovered 2 "scars" on his heart, and his lower lobe is not pumping hard enough, as well as a newly discovered "wiring" issue with the electrical current that tells your heart to beat....his current is slow.
Was it the chemo that caused all of these issues? They are not sure. Some of these issues he could have had prior to chemo, and the chemo exacerbated them...we may never know. The Oncology team, did not want to stress his heart any further, so they decided to remove the Bleomycin from the chemo regime, and add another round.

He will have an appointment on Feb. 27 to see the Oncology Cardiology team in Boston.
Justin has 6 more chemo treatments left, today should have been his last day of chemo:(
Then is will be healing time, with a surgery in Mid April which will be done in Boston.

It is 4:30 p.m. (U.S. Eastern time) and I am ready for bed. I spent the day in a "foggy thought/brain" state.

Here are a couple of pictures my husband Tim took while we were in Brigham Women Hospital/
Dana Farber.
I thank God for clear weather, and safe travel.

It looks worst then it is....port maintenance

He is ready to go home, and is eating well

Justin's evening "cocktail" (minus a bag or two).

It has been good to take a little time to pray and re-focus, I was able to go to the Adoration Chapel for a short visit. It really helps me to charge up my brain and batteries.
Blessings to you all and thank-you for taking the time to read my blog.

A "vintage train" ride. Enjoy the sounds of long ago, ( and yes, I did get soot on me). This is a coal powered steam train.
